How to Use Your IPOD to Increase Your Fame and Fortune - Part #1.

If you own a MP3 player, I have some great news. You are about to rapidly increase your fame and fortune. I will share an idea with you that I have been testing the last few months that is having terrific results and getting rave reviews.

I live in what seems like a constant paradox. Simply by living in the Western world I already have more material wealth than 99 percent of the world. However, I often feel unsatisfied. My $300,000 home pales in comparison to my neighbor’s 4 million dollar mansion. I pull my truck into work and park next to someone’s new Ferrari and wonder if I am missing the boat. The problem with this perspective is that it is a game that is not possible to win. I recently read an article about an executive in serious depression because his salary was only $400,000 per year. Why? His colleagues are pulling down $700,000 per year.

The real problem of course is changing your perspective. This can be done by spending time each day being grateful for what we already have, creating the most positive attitude in the home and workplace and exercising your brain to become laser focused on your goals. Sounds great, but how is it possible to do this? I have started down this path to accomplish this exact scenario many times but within a few days I become easily distracted. But, now with a simple MP3 recording technique I will show you, I have fixed the problem and you can too.

There are two types of recordings you can create and download. The first is a sample template in my voice. The second, one million more times powerful, is a recording in your own voice. You will be amazed at how simple it is to do either option. In this and subsequent articles in this series I will show you step-by-step how to do both.

What I have discovered is that when you make a recording in your own voice, it strongly counters the endless internal and often negative dialogues going on in our heads. See if any of these thoughts sound familiar. “I can’t do this.” “Today is going to suck at work.” “I can never get promoted because I didn’t finish my MBA.” “If I make a recording I might not like the sound of my voice.” “I can’t make a recording because I am not a professional speaker.” Just to alleviate any fears, the only person that will hear your recording is you. It will be safely tucked away on your IPOD.

To create a recording of your own voice is very easy. You will need two things. The first is a microphone to attach to you computer. You can use your computer’s built in microphone or a $20 Internet headset. These will work but to get decent quality invest in a USB Internet microphone/headet. The cost is about $40 at any office supply store. Just plug it into your USB port and you will be up and running in less than ten seconds.. Test that it is working by going to Start/Assessories/Entertinament/Sound Recorder. You can use the sound recorder to record but will need to use a free utility such as ABC Amber Audio Converter to convert the .wav files to MP3

A better route is to download a MP3 recorder. There are thousands of them. Just search in Google on “MP3 Recorder.” I use the Focus MP3 recorder. You can do short recordings for free or it costs $30 to activate the full license. If you are having any problems setting up the recording features, any computer savvy kid can have you up and running in ten minutes.

We are going to create ten 1-2 minute mp3 recordings. When complete we will copy these over to your MP3 player. It will take a little bit of work to create but the rewards will be a million times the effort. I will give you a template and instruction for each section. You can either use what I have or better yet tailor each section to your own needs.

Let’s get started creating the introduction or download it from the link at the top fo this page. Name it introduction.mp3 when complete.
